The Project Manager directs and manages the execution and control of the Project Management Plan, making sure that the necessary quality level is attained.

To Execute the Project Management Plan the Project Manager has to:

• Acquire the Project Team
  
• Execute the Procurement Plan
• Ensure the development of the Deliverables

To Control the Execution the Project Manager has to:

• Elaborate the Project State Report including the Schedule Performance Index and the Cost Performance Index
• Collect the Change Request
• Identify Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions

The Change Request can affect:

Corrective Actions

Corrective actions are actions to bring expected future project performance into conformance with the Project Management Plan.

Deliverables

Deliverables are the products, services and/or results that produce the project.

Deliverables are defined in the Project Management Plan and are outputs of Execution and Control phase

The deliverables are subject to approval by the Project Sponsor.

Project State Report

The Project State Report is a report that includes status of deliverables, implementation status for change requests, corrective actions, preventive actions, work completed, risks, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, and start and finish dates of sheduled activities.

The Project Manager elaborates the Project State Report to be sent to the Project Sponsor
