To create the Project Charter we have the following inputs (when applicable):

• Contract
• Project Statement of Work
• Enterprise Environmental Factors
• Organizational Process Assets

With these inputs the Project Manager develops a document (the Project Charter) with the following items:

• Project Purpose
• Project Description
• Scope
• Objectives
• Project Requirements
• Deliverables
• Costs
• Resources

The Project Charter is subject to approval by the Project Sponsor
