During the Execution and Control Process the work defined in the Project Management Plan is completed.

The Project Manager directs and manages the project execution making sure that the necessary quality level is attained.

Steps

This work unit is decomposed into the following Work units, Events and Decisions

mC Execute and Control Project Management Plan

The Project Manager directs and manages the execution and control of the Project Management Plan, making sure that the necessary quality level is attained.

To Execute the Project Management Plan the Project Manager has to:

  • Acquire the Project Team
  • Execute the Procurement Plan
  • Ensure the development of the Deliverables

To Control the Execution the Project Manager has to:

The Project Management Plan is a document that defines how the project is executed and controlled

The Project Management Plan includes:

The Project Management Plan is subject to approval by the link Project Sponsor.

mC Change Request

Change Request is the request to change or modify the project management plan.

The Change Request can affect:

  • Resources
  • Risk
  • Communications
All the changes are subject to approval by the Project Sponsor and be registered by the Project Manager

mC Project State Report

The Project State Report is a report that includes status of deliverables, implementation status for change requests, corrective actions, preventive actions, work completed, risks, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, and start and finish dates of sheduled activities.

The Project Manager elaborates the Project State Report to be sent to the Project Sponsor
